Is VG and VB discontinued? Does cubase 5 samples replace it?

Is it true that VG and VB are discontinued?
If true, where do I get it anyway.
Steinberg tech told me that it's not needed because of all the siamples included with cubase 5.

What do you think?

Hi, I look for Virtual Guitarist as well.
Pure samples don't ever replace a pattern player, I don't understand how they would...

No, that is not correct.
