C5.5 / OSX10.5.8
I'm sure someone knows the quick answer to this without me spending time researching it - basically media bay hung Cubase while I clicked on a pattern based drum loop and I could hear lots of disk activity; I waited for over ten minutes before I had to force quit Cubase.
Now it appears something is corrupt as I can only preview certain loops now; most files don't show me a waveform at all and don't play back.
Is there a cache or something I need to delete or do I just do a complete re-scan? _________________ --

Looks like you tried to load a pattern bank, that triggers loading a track preset with an instrument, possibly a HalionOne with lots of sounds, which can take some time, not ten minutes though. Reasons for it taking loger could be:
- you included hard disks or folders for scanning or even "All Media", now MediaBay is busy scanning...
- your harddisk has file system errors and loading cannot finish, please check your disk with hard disk toolkit |
