HI

WL 7 on the Mac here ... never thought I'd type that! Wink)

In the Help in the Montage section/ File Browser it clearly states :

When browsing Audio Files, the file browser also has a region panel. When you select an Audio File, its related regions are listed in this panel. You can then drag the region from the list, to insert only that part of the audio. Double-clicking on a region has the effect of opening the file in the Workspace and selecting that region. You can access this dialog via Workspace > Specific tool windows > File Browser.

I have an audio file, marked up with Generic Regions (white) and saved. It appears in my Montage/File Browser but where is the "region panel"? I can see name/size/kind/date modified in the details view but nothing to do with a list of Regions contained within the File. I have wanted an Audio File Regions List in the Montage for years.... please may it be here!

Secondly... I'm stumped as to how to open a File in the the Montage/File Browser as an Audio File in WaveLab (ie Open in WaveLab...). Double clicking placed it in the Montage ... no context item I can find.

Help appreciated. Good news only please. Smile)

Best

Lee

The Region panel can be collapsed. I guess this is the case: drag the File browser right edge to the left, to uncover the panel.

To open an Audio File from any place, use the 1st button in the Switcher button.

Right you are PG! The Regions Pane was closed and invisible to me. But OMG it's just what I always wanted.... YAY!

And I see how the file button works in the switcher now ... also very nice.

I'm a happy camper!!!
