Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm getting a signal on the h4n but no signal on the track. I imagine it has something to do with the settings. ASIO driver, etc.

Thanks

Hello Bill ,

No-one has answered your request for help in over a week now so I thought I would try to offer something .
This Installation/Registration board on this forum that you have posted on is really more to do with Installing and Registering Cubase in the first place rather than using or setting it up once it is installed .
You might have had a faster response if you had posted on a more appropriate board , probably the Cubase LE | AI for Mac OS X & PC Windows one .
I'm guessing you are using Cubase LE5 and it would have helped to have known your Operating System.

If you do a search of this site you'll find that some people experience problems with the latest Windows 7 driver for the Zoom H4N and report better results with an earlier driver , but they were gettig some sound into Cubase whereas you aren't (weren't ?) so it is probably just a set-up problem as you say .
The best I can do for now is to point you to a free download video setup tutorial for the interface that I use ( Tascam ) and suggest that you follow the procedure , substituting the Zoom for the Tascam . ; http://tascam.com/product/us-144/downloads/ ( The video is the last entry at the bottom of the page )

Start a new thread down on the LE board if you are still stuck ad include more information that may help e.g. OS , Driver Version , monitoring method ( headphones plugged into the Zoom ? computer speakers ? etc ? ) . I know how frustrating it is to not get started, and then being ignored or overlooked is worse.
Hope that helps......and ...welcome !

Smile
Dave
