|
|
I am running Windows XP64 and when I installed my MR816CSX I can play and record audio fine, but midi files have no sound. I can record MIDI but there is no sound on playback. I went into my registry, and found all midi inputs(16) were taken up by the yamaha driver. I cleared them all and re-installed all my dirvers (as per Craig Anderston's article) with no result. I show the GS wavetable synth in my drivers32 folder but when I bring up my Sounds and Audio Device Properties in control panel, there is no midi device listed. I tried deleting and reinstalling the GS wavetable synth with no result. The Mr816 is working great otherwise, just no midi. I can't use thrid party programs like Jammer pro6 or similar. Is there a thrid party MIDI driver to replace the GS wavetable synth out there that works with the MR816? Any workarounds for this? As far I see it, I had to disable my onboard sound on my ASUS mb to use the MR816 and the MR816 software does not include a MIDi option. I know I have a lot of midi gear on board but I am showing free midi ports in the registry file now and still no sound.
Any help is much appreciated! Ken
