|
|
Sometimes a song won't export normally. The left and right locators are set, project time is set but the lenght of time it shows when you start exporting will first show up at: Example 32 mins and 10 seconds and it just rocks back and forth and never goes to zero or even attempts to go very far. I can normally do an export say, in 2 minutes give or take. I've ran into this before and it somehow corrected its self. It just does it on certain songs. Not a normal occurence though. This time I'm making notes so I'll know what to do if this ever happens again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Mike: is your computer almost out of Memory????
When I used Cubase Le4 with XP and 512 mgs I experienced all kinds of crashes and delays like what you described. I backed up alot back then and "REFORMATTED"
my computer alot to get around these limitations.
COMPUTER RECORDING IS DRUNK FOR MEMORY.
Ps: My HP and Cubase work great together now
Hope this helps

No, the memory is ok. Sometimes I run into this problem every now and then. I know it's something I have done to cause this but I can't seem to find what I did to correct it not realizing that it was corrected until I re-exported it again sometime later. I can't find anything in the manual that relates to this problem. Most of my experience with fixing problems is accidental except when you guys lend your helping hand. I appreciate everyones time and concern when I run into a problem. Thanks again guys and girls! |

No, I haven't tried an update. I was told or read that they no longer had updates for that old of CUBASE LE 1.07
I'm using a PC with XP. I think my problem is something I have done on this particular song that won't let me export to a wave. I can still export other songs within Cubase. It's something I'm over looking, just can't figure out what that is!

Just be aware that you'll actually lose some functionality if you "upgrade" to LE1.0.10, most significantly you'll end up with only 2 VST instrument slots.
So is it only the one song that this happens on?? _________________ Cubase LE 1.0.8, Tascam US-144, Toshiba Satellite Celeron Dual 1.8GHz/2Gb (from 25/10/09), Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Halljack:
Thanks for the info. I have seen some videos on youtube but not one that told of exporting problems. I will doublecheck again. Thanks
Celtsound:
By "upgrading" does a person gain a lot of improvements by doing this over 1.07? I don't use the VST instruments or haven't yet. I mainly use Band in the Box for the real drums and put live instruments for the rest of the song. It makes life a lot easier. I know it sounds better in some cases to use live drums but for the most part your rhythm section usually "plays it straight". Let me know if there is a advantage to using VST. I'm all for making the recording process a little less time consuming than we make it sometime. Thanks
THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYONES' INPUT
