I am curious how Rendering uses the Master Section, especially AFTER Rendering has started, and a background task is processing.
For example, in Audio view, I have 4 WAV's loaded. I have 4 different Master Section presets saved for each WAV. I start rendering the 1st WAV with its corresponding Master Section preset, and see it processing in Background Tasks. My question - is it possible to move on to the 2nd WAV, load its Master Section presets, and start Rendering while the 1st WAV is processing in Background Tasks, without the new presets interfering with the 1st render?
I read the manual and could not find any info related to this workflow.
Thanks! |

Yes, this is possible. This is even designed so. When a rendering job starts, all plugins and parameters are copied to the rendering process. If you change something in the Master Section, this does not affect the rendering process. _________________ Philippe |

This doubles the CPU usage for the plugins used in the Master Section that is being rendered, then, correct, PG? _________________ Studio: Win 7 64, Gigabyte X58A-UD3R, i7 970, 12GB, FF800 C5.5, WL7, VE Pro, UAD2 Quad - Home: C5.5, WL7, XP SP2, Dell Core 2 Duo 6600, 2GB, FF800, 1 UAD-1, 1 UAD-2 Duo -

I've noticed that my master section isn't necessarily stored with Montages. When I've mastered a couple projects, I've had to double check or manually load a chain into the master when I expected it to be recalled to the state when I last saved it.
Did I miss something when I saved? If so what, if not how can I save things to a single holistic file?
thanks!

@Sid: no. that double memory allocation, but not CPU, unless you playback while you render.
@daved: Master Section is stored with the Montage, as far as you call the function to store it, or the Auto Save option is set in the Montage's preferences. _________________ Philippe |
