Im having trouble with my eLicenser after updating to 5.5.2 - I was running both Cubase 32 + 64 on the same Windows 7 64 system but after the update my default Cubase 32bit prefrences were changed (to Cubase 64bit) and in the process of trying to fix things Im now having trouble running anything!

Im currentry getting Application 'LCC2' has caused the following error: DCOM connection to program 'Synsopos.exe' failed. Error:Unspecified error

The problem started showing up after the install - cubase files didn't show the cubase program (logo) graphic and the c64 program files where doubled up (?) because I renamed the x64 folder for to clarify cubase jbridge plugins. I tried to to tweek the registry so I could open C32 by default ( Cubase5.exe +shell + open command (default) and Cubase5 + document + shell + open + command (Default)) which didn't help so I decided to reinstall - now C32 isn't working either - I tried deleting elc and may have deleted the sysncrosoft folder (which is proberly the main problem!)

I've rolled back windows, deleted cubase and reinstalled (hidden preferences) which didn't help, I downloaded and installed the latest elc program - tried different usb ports , deleted elc registry entrys before reinstall and tried the 'overwrite install mode' with no effect . The dongle works fine on a mac but the program is blank on my windows pc - I tried to input the licence but can't get and further without the contuniue screen.

Please Help Me get back on track _ Im going crazy reading forum posts and Im running out of ideas!!

thanks

You could have avoided all that by simply downloading and installing the latest elc:
Please download and install the latest version of the eLicenser Control Center
http://www.elicenser.net/en/latest_downloads.html
After the installation please reboot your computer and see if the problem persists.

Cheers,
GN

Yes I have installed the latest ELicencer as I mentioined above

I just tried another reinstall from Cubase5 to 5.5.2 - installed the elc with c5 and then the update as well as the installing latest version - Windows Version: 6.1.3.1046 Release: November 24, 2010

After restart the windows recognises the usb and installs the software drivers - "device driver is installed and ready to use" message - but Cubase Application and Elicencer Control Centre still gets 'LCC2' has caused the following error: DCOM connection to program 'Synsopos.exe' failed. Error:Unspecified error message.

ELC Control Centre is still greyed out and no continue button on the elc licence download.
Ideas? Confused

Looks like I have deleted the Syncrosoft Folders in my despiration trying to fix (?) this elc error Embarassed

I just searched windows and the c:\windows\prefetch Syncrosoft Licence Control Set Up is still there but the other folder (shortcut links in windows search) are deleted (program data, users\appdata\roaming etc)

Do you think this could be my problem Question
