The Hollies are great. Their stuff in the period 1963-1965 especially (and 66 was a tie, 'Revolver' and 'For Certain ... Because' being 2 of the best albums of that decade) was better than The Beatles IMHO. Some of their songs like Stop, Stop, Stop , He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother and The Air That I Breathe are classic tracks. 2 tracks off 'For Certain ... Because', 'Clown' and 'Crusader' are still some of my favourite tracks of all time.
Although they never had the same success in the USA as The Beatles, only I'm Alive (a cover version) and 'Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress' being big hits. My dad was a die hard Hollies fan and hardly had any of the Beatles singles and albums, but my mom was a typical Beatles fangirl of the screaming 'OMG' type. Of course, Graham Nash who left The Hollies in 1968 *a founding member* went on to big things in the USA especially with CSN/CSNY
I think it was McCartney's producer David Kahne who is a Cubase user and Memory Almost Full was tracked to Cubase Studio 4 !!! _________________ Dell XPS 1530 laptop, Core2Duo 2.1 Ghz, 4 GB ram, Vista Ultimate 32 SP2, Nvidia 8600M, Alesis IO14 FW, Cubase 5.5.2, Ableton Live 7.0.18 Suite, Sony Soundforge 9, Sonalksis Essentials mkII bundle, various devices/controllers |

Saw the video for his album earlier this evening. I'm now calm enough to write my thoughts on it..............
It's all autotuned dance nonsense that pre-16 girlies love. It'll be a massive hit.
Ever see that episode of the Simpsons when Ned Flanders drives himself to the asylum? I'm there dude
As for the Hollies? Brilliant songs. Great band. Manchester lads don't ya know _________________ Minimal Cheese Now in virtual cheddar flavour.

Of course it's about the money...besides you think little girls would buy music from ugly 40-50 year olds who use Cubase?
Justin Beiber is a little like Milly-Vanilli ..but with a little more talent. But then back in the Vanilli days not sure if they had auto-tune...let alone Melodyne vs Waves TUNE _________________ VST 32/5.1 W.L. 3.0 Aardvark Q10/Aark 24 Cards ASUS P5KC MB Q9300 CPU 4GBRam WinXP 3 Seagate HDD's Gigabyte Radeon PCIe dual Video 2 Sony 17" Trinitrons CD/DVD-RW Logitech Cordless Keyboard/Mouse
