I'm about to buy a Mac Pro and I'm wondering if a Cubase would benefit from using a 2x Quad core CPU (8-core) rather than 1x Quad (4-core)? THe 8-core is 2.4 GHz but the 4-core is 2.8 GHz.

HI,
1) Cubendo runs far better on windows than OSX however
the single 2.8 is about tied with the dual 2.4.. ideally the 6 core single is what you want

GHz is still king over cores..

What is better with the Windows version?

Would you also say that 6 core 3.3 GHz is better than 12 core 2.6GHz
