HI,

i updated to the latest Cubase Version and since i did this i do have a crash everytime when i close a project, even if i close Cubase.

During working with Cubase everything is fine - no problems, no unexpected shutdowns. Just when i want to leave the programm or i close a project.

Anybody does have the same problem ?

Christian

Aloha future and welcome to the board.

My answer is:
YES! OUI! SI! AFFIRMATIVE!

Not every time but when I least expect it I close a project and WHAM!

This happens mainly on my laptop but occasionally also on the desktop.

And I know when it is going to happen because when I clik the red button to close the project window, the window closes but the mixer window remains. (loaded)

When I see this behavior I know C5 will crash in a few seconds. And it does.

All since C5.

No probs with this issue in C4 or SX3

Yes, I have this as well. It's somewhat unpredictable, but definitely occurs with heavier projects. It also happens when opening a new project- not immediately, but when the "Do you want to activate" window appears. If I choose "Activate", C5 will often crash. I've tried to discern whether it's 3rd party plugs, UAD card, whatever, but can find no common thread.

Interesting - I have no such issues at all, and, those that I did have appear to have gone since the 5.5.2 update! Particularly with Varyaudio.

Hope you sort it mate.

Regards,

Lou. Cool

HI

still no news here - my situation is still the same. Open a project and work with it.... then close it - and crash.

I noticed, when i open cubase and open the project and just let it open a few seconds or a minute - it wont crash when i shutdown the project.

Its cool - no crash .. but totally useless .. Rolling Eyes

Hmm

Did not have this issue before i updated.

Confused

I have had this problem since C5 too.
It is quite intermittent and I could never find the cause. It does it with simple and heavy projects.
I noticed through the ASIO meter that it stays stuck and does not clear; leading me to suspect plugins.
