|
|
Issue:
Since the latest Update 5.5.2 for Cubase 5 and Cubase Studio 5 the factory presets of Roomworks and Roomworks SE are not available any more. To solve the issue please rename the preset folders manually like described below.
Go to:
[System Drive] \ Program Files \ Steinberg \ Cubase (Studio) 5 \ VST3 Presets \ Steinberg Media Technologies
or
[System Drive] \ Program Files(x86) \ Steinberg \ Cubase (Studio) 5 \ VST3 Presets \ Steinberg Media Technologies
Rename the folder "Roomworks" to "RoomWorks" and "RoomWorks SE" to "Roomworks SE" _________________ Steinberg Tech Support

I renamed the files. But now I dont have a single presets.
Could someone tell me witch dir that should me named the right way.
Is it the presets of 1kb that should be named as Rommworks or is it the dir with 2kb files?
I hope there is somone who understand me.

Hey dude,
this for me, is where you have to go to fix it;
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 5\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\Roomworks and
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 5\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\RoomWorks SE
So than you need to change those folders at the end to look like these;
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 5\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\RoomWorks
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 5\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\Roomworks SE

worked for me! one little (but still annoying) problem left!
now - cubase lists every preset twice : (
any suggestions on how to fix that?
(already tried to rescan the cubase folder via the media-bay) |

What happens when Steinberg updates Cubase again? Another change of folders names?

GOT THIS OFF ANOTHER THREAD:
"Just found a few threads that confirm and address this:
http://www.cubase.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=142804
http://forum.cubase.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=142720
Here's a fix from one of the threads:
Roomworks and Roomworks SE refer to their presets in the folder (on my system) “C:\Programs\Steinberg\Cubase Studio 5\VST3 Presets”
Since the last update the plug-ins are named “RoomWorks” and “RoomworksSE”, but the corresponding folders in “C:\Programs\Steinberg\Cubase Studio 5\VST3 Presets” are labeled “Roomworks” and “RoomWorksSE”. Pay attention to upper case and lower case!
I simply renamed these preset-folders in accordance with the “new” names of the plug-ins (upper case “W” instead of lower case “w” and vice versa) and all the presets are back!

I'm confused. When I look in the plugin information in CB5, I see the plugs room works and Room Works SE. Should not they conform to the folder
during VST3 presets?
I'm having trouble with this.
By the way:could it be conflikt between SX3 and Cubase5 in this case? The older Roomworks in SX3 use the presets _________________ A total novice, but hoping for a touch up |
