Hello

Have a so called "OEM" product, bought with the CC121 and later with the Yamaha C24.
I don't feel, that this should disqualify me to join in the discussion, like Chris wrote.

I think, I have already paid the Cubase AI software and I am therefore a full member of the Cubase community.
I don't like to note, that I don't have full access to the different chapters anymore.

Just remember, the Cubase AI has same (limited) functionality as the C. A lot of issues are based on the "full" version and therefore interesting for "OEM" users as well.

So.....what's about the Cubase AI/LE forums Question

Cheers

Chris:

This thread solicites questions; whats the answer to this? Elaborate on how friends/foes will work.

HI, on other PHPbb 3.x sites, in your user control panel there will be a friend and foes tab, for foes, this is the text description:

Foes are users which will be ignored by default. Posts by these users will not be fully visible. Personal messages from foes are still permitted. Please note that you cannot ignore moderators or administrators
    .

Hope this helps..... Steinberg may have some modification of course!

I haz a qeston for ya. I mentioned something about the mp3 files in another topic that kind a got lost in the mix. I was wondering a little more about how this works...

I know based on privacy and copyright, that mp3 files probably will not be uploaded to any steinberg based location, but will they have a connection to another site, say like Reverbnation or Bandcamp, where they can be "linked to" or streamed from a player on SteinbergCubaseNuendo.net?

I mentioned something about the JW Player on my own music site. I've written a php that allows you to submit a link, which will then connect through a YouTube API and play those linked YouTube videos right on my site. I was wondering if you will be doing something similar, allowing streaming music from various commercial, or links to personal mp3 files?

Thanks!
John

Actually I do NOT think that "everybody" has different expectations on support via the future forum. Those may exisit in detail, but generally speaking it is : "support".

Have a look at the rayzoon forum or the garritan forum. Two role models about how things can work.

Cheers, Ernst

Hello Elien,

The forums will "still" not an support forum, by writing down a question and Steinberg support answers every question. For "personal" support you have to contact our support departments.

So as a registered user are you saying the new forum will accept our old user names just so we can log-in and enter in new user names and additional info?

What time are you flipping the switch Chris? (or are you in bed sawing logs!) Seeing as it is already the 15th in Hamburg, and only the 14th here in Canada, I am wondering what the actual time will be?

On MySteinberg, I don't see any way to create / access / change a username. Will this be done on MySteinberg? or will we be creating separate profiles for the forums?

You have to login into your MySteinberg account, and here (when we have enabled the new forums) you can create a username for the new forum. Here you can also enter your signature and additional information and your avatar.

You just login into your current MySteinberg account. You don't have to re-register your products.

The avatar pixels & file size: 100 x 100 pixels and 50 KB at the most

This is currently not possible. It will be possible when the forums go online
