HELP!!!!
I want to try updating firmware for MI4 to see if it will kill all cracks and hiss. I've downloaded the firmware updates several times. They simply won't mount. Failure to mount-system error everytime. I think they are coming over corrupted. Could anybody please ZIP them and email them to me? I've updated to Mac OS 10.3.7. That seemed to kill the crash that occured everytime I launched Cubase. Now I just want to deal with all of the noise in the output signal. I'm going to give Cubase System 4 one more week, then I'm trading all of this stuff in for something that isn't so buggy. I took a day off work to figure this out. Starting to lose my patience. I've got over a week into trying to get a simple installation.
Thanks to anyone that reads this _________________ Cubase 4/MAC OS 10.6.4

At the moment, the firmware updater to Firmware 1.02a is only available for pc. If you have access to a Windows pc you could connect your MI4 to it and flash the firmware there.

Is there anything you can suggest that will kill all of the hiss and pops? Its terrible! Is that just with the MI 4 that everyone has this problem? Should I try my old sound card (Mia Midi)? And just stuff the MI 4 under my desk so I can launch SL? I'm ready to switch to some other software if I can't resolve this problem very soon. Guitar Center said they get all kinds of complaints about Cubase and would gladly exchange my purchase for Protools or something else.

The firmware updater now also is available for MAC.
If you still suffer from hiss and pops try switching your project settings to 48KHz.
