|

Hi everybody
I just signed up in this forum because I bought Virtual Guitarist 2. It's a nead Plug, but I have a serious problem. I most certaintly woul like to edit my own styles in the Riff editor, but I cant undo anything because whenever I use the Comm+Z (as described in the manual) the undo function takes place in Logic instead. I know that you probably will say that it's a Logic problem with 3. party Plugs, but it makes VG2 completly useless to me if i cant fool around in the Riff editor.
Why dont VG2 have it's own Undo button in the Riff editor window, How can I work around my problem, or am I missing something here
PS I have tried to realease the comm+Z function in Logic, but the Undo function still didnt work in VG2 _________________ Jan Glaesel

I called Steinberg tech support about this and the answer is that you CAN'T use the Undo function in the Riff Editor running in Logic. If you try to use Undo it reverses your last move in Logic as you found out.
Too bad. I use the Riff Editor a lot and now I'm very careful to keep track of what I'm doing. After a few changes I will save the work as a new Riff. I think Undo does work if you use Virtual Guitarist as a free-standing application but i haven't tried it.
Good luck. |

yeah again. hopefully an undo switch will make it in the UI of the next version.
well - if there will ever be a next version.

I have never been using Rewire in Logic before, maybe because VG2 is my first Steingberg Plug. When I want to fool around in the Riff-editor, I just launch VG2 as a stand alone Instrument and Rewire it with Logic - then all the keycomm's are working as described in the manual. When Im done creating all the parts that I need, I just save them and launch VG2 as an AU Plug in Logic. Works for me!!
But again - an UNDO button in the Riff-editor would be a very obvious thing to do _________________ Jan Glaesel
