Hi

When I import a drumkit f hell midi file and move it within my song and change the tempo it does not line up to the grid in drum editor.

My timing button is set right but i cant get the midi file to conform to the tempo I want

anyone know how to do this?

thanks

Wrong forum - expect this thread to get moved. You don't say what OS or host you are using either.

Is the timebase for the midi track you import the midi file into working in Bars & Bears, or Real Time? Make sure it is in bars and beats, or whatever equivalent in your host.

Perfectly quantised drum patterns are robotic and boring. I would expect the midi files you are talking about have been played by human drummers - and therefore they aren't going to match up with your grid anyway. You could try adjusting your quantise settings, to make it match better. Especially if the pattern is in swing time, you'll have to play with the swing percentage.

You could try quantising anyway, but be prepared to lose the feel of the player.
