I'm going to upgrade from Cubase 4 Studio to Cubase 5 Studio.

Question:

Will the DVD with my update to Cubase 5 Studio require me to first have installed Cubase 4 Studio? Or is the "upgrade" versions of Cubase 5 Studio same media as a regular copy but with a different serial number in the box?

Sincerely
LarsErik

The update is the same as a regular version, with a license activation code to download the update license. The thing that actually is updated is your CS 4 license on your dongle. Therefore you don´t need to have the old version installed, you just need to have the dongle with the license of the old version on it.

Ok, that's very convenient. Thanks for the reply.
