|
|
Hi all,
does anybody know, why the Q-knobs reside on the upper raw (but the G-knobs at the lower one) while the layout of the EQ inside Cubase is contrary?
It's confusing when looking at the Cubase graphical design (the numbers below the EQ curve) while moving the "false" knobs at the CC121...
Is there any chance to configure Cubase in that way that it matches the layout of the CC121 knobs, please??? But this should be an option (and should be selectable for CC121 users only...).
Greetings from Munich

I'm surprised that nobody has any comment about this "feature"...
Does nobody use the internal EQs together with the CC121?
Is this "failure" not worth to be mentioned (or better to be corrected by Steinberg)???
Or is my C5 wrong in this relation???
Any comment would be nice...

Today a statement from Steinberg arrived me via e-mail:
| Quote: | Hello,
Unfortunatly this is a known issue, and currently the is no work around to change this behviour of the CC121.
Best regards

OK, it seems that the Steinberg team is aware of that behavior, and may be / hopefully there will be a solution later...
But I'd say that not the CC121 should be chanced (because of the printed surface...) but there could be an option to change the layout of Cubase 5 in that relation (an option that should be available for CC121 users only).

Nah. Q control should be at the bottom and the G at the top, cos that's, like, industry standard man!
the hardware controls are the same, so surely this is just a software fix?
I don't care if the printing on the unit becomes wrong.
(why do they even have these labels? they don't onscreen)
they are easy to hide if you care.
or make it optional in software.
(actually, I suspect the printing was wrong first, and they changed to software to make it right?) _________________ ---

yeah, i dont care at all if the printing on the cc 121 is wrong. i would just use a black permanent marker and thats the end of the wrong Q and G on the unit. Steinberg should REALLY change it. but i guess it will never happen because the simple EQ knob scaleing hasn´t been changed since the cc 121 came out - and thats ages ago. I am actually really *quiz* off about this. so many users requested it. all we get is a redundant iPhone app which nobody with a cc 121 will ever use.
if i had not bought it back then, i would never buy the cc 121 again. i simply cant understand why it takes so long to get a firmware update out of steinberg/yamaha. i guess it would take a programmer a few hours.
at the moment my cc 121 is covered with dust and i use the fader and the channel select feature every now and then. apart from that, the unit is useless for me. _________________ Mac Pro, 3 GB RAM, OSX 10.6.x
