Hi,

Does this update apply to the HSO Special Edition that came with Cubase 5 as well?

Thanks,

stuman

Yes, as the sample player part is identical.

Downloaded Halion 1.5 in both 32bit and 64bit versions and tried them both with Cubase 5 (32 and 64 bit versions) and guess what???? the 64 bit version of Halion 1.5 crashes the 64 bit version of Cubase 5. 32 bit is fine in both versions of Cubase 5 but that's not really the idea of the release is it???? Not good Sad

Hello,

How can I check the HSO version ?

I just insalled this update to the original version comes with c5.

After opening HSO pro player in the about section is: 3.5.0.592. (2007 dec13)

It is not 1.5 xx i think

Also I can't find what is the content version.

So this is upgrade to the content or to the player too ? And how can I check that it is installed correctly ?

Thanks,
Victor

I have the very same situation here = downloaded the update claimed as 1.5.0.592 32bit, installed on my XP Pro 32bit over full HSE version I bought recently and it now says "3.5.0.592 DEC 13 2007"?!?!
Any explanation, Steinberg??

Hm, rather a confirmation than an explanation: 3.5.0.592 is indeed the latest version. This of course is pretty confusing. After all, it shows that HSO is based upon HALion 3 which might be considered as a kind of explanation. But to be honest I don't know the reason for the version number mismatch. BTW it already existed in the previous version which was 3.2.1.1387 according to the plug-in itself...

Cheers,

Georg

Now I am TOTALLY confused, the latest version of the HALion Orchestra that came with Cubase 5 is 3.5.0..592? the one I downloaded says 3.5.0..593. Which version is on offer as upgrade to the version that came with Cubase 5?? The 16-bit for €99? How much longer will the €99 upgrade be available?

The upgrade "only" turns the demo license into a permanent one. In other words: The demo version is the full 16-bit version with a limited time-frame. Plug-in-wise they are the same.

For an indefinite time longer... Smile

Why when I try to install HSO 1.5 or 1.3.0.450 on my Mac with snow leopard, it says something about not being able to install as it is an old operating system and needs panther or above.... i thought at LEAST it would install it.... Oh and if the FXP files are in the HSB files, how do u put the updated clarinet FXP files in the HSB files... ?

Thanks

Avichayil.

Delete the Trial Version of your eLicenser, if you bought the original HSO. Than it works. You can install the 1.5 update Very Happy

Your HSO 1.5 version 64bit just disables everything! Not able to find even the lab after the update. Please check it before release. I was need to reinstall the old HSO 3 times. You guy like Microsoft, using us as your testers... Sad

You have posted that "This update is also compatible with the HALion Symphonic Orchestra trial version that ships with Cubase 5!" It is exactly what I have, but your update just disables HSO. Please clarify.
