Hi everyone,
To coincide with the Cubase 5 release we've set up a new Cubase page on Facebook. So if you're on Facebook, feel free to stop by and become a 'fan' and post a comment on our wall - thanks in advance.
Just in case anyone missed it, we also have a Cubase page on MySpace. Feel free to add us as friends, leave us a comment etc.
Cheers,
Angus |

I kind of agree with you, but unfortunately, it's just par for the course these days, most other DAW software applications have their own Myspaces and more are coming to Facebook too.
So, SB keeping up with the Jones's is just standard unfortunately. Of course, this is the stuff of fanboy heaven, now they can extoll their love of all things Steiny and be classed as a 'friend' by the beloved ones too
*I confess, I actually am a friend of Ableton Live on Myspace, so I cannot really comment, except to say that I just added them for another number and save my opinions good, bad or indifferent for their web forum, but I enjoy my relationship with them more than SB and beta testing Live 8 is pretty awesome right now* _________________ Dell XPS 1530 laptop, Core2Duo 2.1 Ghz, 4 GB ram, Vista Ultimate 32 SP2, Nvidia 8600M, Alesis IO14 FW, Cubase 5.5.2, Ableton Live 7.0.18 Suite, Sony Soundforge 9, Sonalksis Essentials mkII bundle, various devices/controllers |

| Hm, you see literally thousands of studios with their own myspace and facebook pages these days, so these are platforms that studios are using to generate business, too. |

I think this type of thing is cool.
although I took Cubase out of my top friends during a heated argument, I do plan to put you back up there once I get C5.

Facebook is very good as a marketing tool. Myspace is something of a loss, though - the signal to noise ratio is terrible.
I may have a gander at the Facebook page - so long as you have a look at mine!!
Just search on High Fidelity - either Studios or Rehearsal Rooms... _________________ http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/High-Fidelity-Rehearsal-Rooms/50004637738?ref=ts
Cubase: various versions - PCs: various types and specs, Soundcards: All kinds, Monitors: everything from 1x14" to 3x19", Helpful, eh?? |

Seriously? I'm supposed to be a 'fan' of a piece of software?
Well why the heck not, i'm already a fan of the "Microsoft Word fanpage" as well as the "TV remote control group" and the "Nokia MMS followers". _________________ Intel Pentium Dual Core 945 2x3.4Ghz | 2Gb Dual DDR2 667Mhz | Intel p965 | ATI Radeon X1300 PCI-E | Windows XP Pro | RME Multiface II | 2xUAD-1 | Superior 2.2 | DFHS | DFHS C&V | DFHS Addon | Ampeg SVX | Cubase 5.1 |

"fan" is the term that facebook uses... it´s stupid, but it´s not steiberg´s fault... _________________ macbook pro 2.16 GHz | 3 GB RAM | OS 10.5.6 | some VSL-stuff | Tascam FW 1082 | Cubase 5.1.1 |

You guys have the same old grumpy fart mindset as I do on this Where is the VST FaceBook page? I'm only just CONSIDERING upgrading to SX3
Of course all this is purely about HOAR-ish promotion and getting more money out of everyone's pockets, ah...apparently there's no shortage based on many upgrade HOARS here.
I'm proud to make use out of older so-called outdated software for as long as I can ....10 years now _________________ VST 32/5.1 W.L. 3.0 Aardvark Q10/Aark 24 Cards ASUS P5KC MB Q9300 CPU 4GBRam WinXP 3 Seagate HDD's Gigabyte Radeon PCIe dual Video 2 Sony 17" Trinitrons CD/DVD-RW Logitech Cordless Keyboard/Mouse
