I get that annoying bug again where CUbase creates new MIDI tracks every time I drag and drop a groove from EZ Drummer og Stylus RMX. I´ve tried unchecking Auto-dissolve Format 0 and Import to Instrument tracks, but it still won´t work. When I try to uncheck just Auto-dissolve, click Apply and try to drag and drop a part, it magically re-checks itself. I use both EZ Drummer and Stylus RMX on Instrument Tracks. Any help would be greatly apprecciated.

Cheers,

Torbiz

Have you tried trashing (or placing on desktop) the Cubase Prefs? It'll generate new ones when you restart.

Ok, so trashing prefs doesn´t work. Does anybody know how to work around this? I really can´t continue working this way!

Cheers,

Stylus doesnt create a new track for me but it doesnt drop it on the channel that I dragged it on to. It ususally just drops it on a midi channel 4 tracks below that and often ends up behind another midi part.
VERY annoying!!

In my experience over the last few years you better learn to live with it than waiting for a fix.

This is a wild stab in the dark here, but I wonder if you could try unchecking the Auto Dissolve Format 0 (as you said), then save as a Preference Preset. Does it still recheck itself?

Uncheck Import to Instrument Tracks too if it isn't already.

Mobius: That works as long as I leave "Import to Instrument Tracks" unchecked. However, it makes no difference as to importing the grooves.

Cheers,

Torbiz

BTW- as soon as Cubase has created the first MIDI track, I can continue to import grooves to that MIDI track. I guess that´s the best workaround for now. If I try to import to the original Instrument track, Cubase creates ANOTHER MIDI track.

TretoppStudio...

Thanks for writing. This caught me as well during C4 times - mainly as I use Stylus all the time. Check these settings and al should be groovy.

Preferences < MIDI < MIDI File

Unchecking "Import to Instrument Track" and "Auto Dissolve Format 0"

Please let me know if this helps. I am traveling next 2 days but if give me a heads up, I should get an email letting me know to check back here.

Thanks for the support.
