Hi all,
I wonder if anyone might be able to help me with this problem. I am trying to open and save some files created on a G4 running Mac os 9 a good few years ago. For this purpose I bought a G4 which works fine - it has system nine running. I already have my old CD ROM Cubase 3.0.2. I load the software onto the mac and it then asks for the system disc to authorise the software, I insert it and hey presto - NOTHING... I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but hey ho I'm a musician.

What I'm trying to achieve is to get the old system nine cubase files readable in system ten so I can then decide whether to get an updated cubase or whatever.

Any and all help much appreciated.

Martin

Blimey! If you are still having an authorizing diskette a G3 might have been the better choice. I remember that the Super Drive (?) by Imation (??) was the only USB-based floppy drive model that worked.
Maybe you can get a copy of Cubase VST 4 (you'll need the 4.1r2 installer from the ftp server if the CD-R is older) or VST 5, both versions are using the CD-R for authorization.
