I have a computer running vista 64 and cubase 4 - I just bought Hypersonic 2. It is so slow loading patches. It takes forty seconds to load a patch or change a patch, during which time the computer hangs and it looks like cubase has crashed. It takes so very long. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a solution?
Thanks! |

I just installed Cubase 4.1 (32 bit) on a Vista 64 bit system. I have not yet installed Hypersonic 2 but I will in the next day or so. I'll let you know what happens.

Well, all I can say is, that Hypersonic 2 works on XP64.
I guess it will also work on Vista64. _________________ Stephan Römer - Composer & Sound Designer New website online |

Just built a dedicated DAW running nothing but Cubase 4.
Went all 64 bit - both Vista Home premium and Cubase.
Everything runs like a dream with non of the crackles and slowness I had on my old PC.
The VST bridge in the 64 bit Cubase preview works for all my 32 bit VSTs except for.......Hypersonic!!!!
Both Hypersonic 1 and 2 have the same problems. Takes up to a couple of minutes for Hypersonic to load and during that time Cubase reports it's not responding. Hypersonic does eventually load but any attempt to change the patch takes another couple of minutes with Hypersonic reporting it's not responding. Sometimes it actually crashes Cubase with an error message saying the VST bridge has stopped working.
All in all a real disaster as Hypersonic is my favourite VST!!!!! _________________ Quad Core

Hypersonic 2 works great for me using the 32 bit version of Cubase 4.1.3 in Vista 64. I have not tried it with the 64 bit version of Cubase.

Thanks Tony, loaded the 32 bit Cubase as well as the 64 bit preview and you're right...Hypersonic works fine.
Guess that means it's not a Vista or Hypersonic problem...it's a Cubase 64 bit problem with the VST bridge. _________________ Quad Core
