I was looking into getting GA3 but was wondering if it was working well now since its release.
I'm still running SX3. I might go up to C5 soon. How's GA3 working in C4?

It has a tendency to crash sometimes, at least if you try use two drumming modes at the same time. Some kind of a memory leak, I think. In those situations it can also create a huge error log (once it was 1 GB) in its installation folder. But overall I think it's a lot of fun and also very useful, sounds great and if Steinberg just bothered to fix those last bugs, it would be perfect. _________________ AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @4 GHz, 8GB Kingston DDR3-1333 RAM, Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P, 1x Samsung F3, 1x Samsung F1, 1xWD, M-Audio AP192 + Musical Fidelity X-DAC v3, Musical Fidelity X-Can v3 + Grado SR325, AMD Radeon HD5770, Windows 7-64, Cubase 4.52 |

Do you think Steinberg WILL fix it?
I always liked Groove Agent (the original). It's a great tool.

It's unlikely that they will do anything more around Groove Agents, I think... Hope I'm wrong, though! GA is one of the most original, innovative concepts I've seen in music applications. Some musicians hate its idea for pretty same reasons why some guitarists hate the idea of modelling guitars like Variax. "Not the real thing!" they say. Well, who cares - if the result is fun and great music! _________________ AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @4 GHz, 8GB Kingston DDR3-1333 RAM, Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P, 1x Samsung F3, 1x Samsung F1, 1xWD, M-Audio AP192 + Musical Fidelity X-DAC v3, Musical Fidelity X-Can v3 + Grado SR325, AMD Radeon HD5770, Windows 7-64, Cubase 4.52 |

How are the samples in GA3 vs GA1?
Can you also upgrade from GA1 to GA3 at a discount?
Thanks,

Thanks Richard!
Does GA3 need it's own dongle like Cubase and HALion 3 or can it share one of the dongles?
Thanks,

I'm having C4, C3, GA2/3 and Virtual Bassist licenses all in one dongle... Even one dongle is trouble, several would probably spell a disaster! _________________ AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @4 GHz, 8GB Kingston DDR3-1333 RAM, Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P, 1x Samsung F3, 1x Samsung F1, 1xWD, M-Audio AP192 + Musical Fidelity X-DAC v3, Musical Fidelity X-Can v3 + Grado SR325, AMD Radeon HD5770, Windows 7-64, Cubase 4.52 |

You have to point to the folder where GA3 is installed. C4 will then recognize it, afterwards
If you get stuck, go back a few pages in the GA3 forum, you'll see directions on how to do it.
Good Luck !
