Hello,

I'd like to have contact with any GA3 user working with OSX.
I'm having problems with samples sounding ringmodulated/bit-crushed when I adjust the "tune" knob or when I'm working at 48 KHz.

Does anybody recognize this?

It's very obvious when you choose the Fula Toms, play some fills and adjust the "tune" knob to around -3.
The sound will be pitched down, but also something is going wrong because suddenly some "ringing" can be heared (like a ring-modulation/bitcrush effect).
This is also very obvious with the Nordic kick.
When I switch the sample rate to 48 KHz (in cubase or stand alone), some overall ringing can be heard.

I'm trying to show steinberg support my problem, but it seems like they don't have this problem on their machines.
It would be valuable for me if other users on OSX (intel) who notice this problem can report this here.
That would make further investigation by steinberg more relevant (I hope...).

Thanks!

Tom

Hi Tom,

did you install the latest update for GA3? Which version do you have? There was an issue with samplerates, but it was fixed.

best

Hi Helge,

Thanks for reply.

Yes, I have the latest version 3.0.2.14.
I'm having these problems in stand alone mode and in cubase 4.5.1 (on OSX 10.5.4).

I did have e-mail contact with oscar from steinberg support.
I sended him a cpr file with some automated tune settings and an audio export file. In this audio file my problems can be heard.
But he didn't reply to this mail for at least 4 weeks Sad
(I also re-sended this e-mail 2 times...)

I really hope that I can get the support that I need to solve the artefacts with alternate tune settings / 48 KHz.

BTW the artefacts sounds really nasty!

Thanks Tom
