Hello globiface,
Please delete "Synsoacc.dll" in C:\Windows\system32\ and the folder "Syncrosoft" in C:\Program Files\ and then install the latest License Control Center:

This happens to me too. I.ve tried everything and every time I try to update Cubase LE 4, I get the same "synsoacc.dll does not have the expected interface". Cubase LE 4 works fine untill I try and update, THIS IS FRUSTRATING!!!Moderators? _________________ Comp1: Windows 7 64bit, Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R, Intel I7 920, 6 gig Patriot DDR3 ram, RME Digiface, MR816 X, Geoforce 66000 PCIe, Cubase 5.5

.... I am experiencing the same frustration.
I have two (already registered) Cubase licenses - one for Presonus Firebox and one for an 1394 Inspire
The one Cubase LE4 has been installed on my Desktop: registered, updated from 4.0 to 4.1.2 and the 4.1.3 patch - no problem!
Now I am struggling to install it on my Laptop.
I have installed LE4.0 and registered it - it then opens no problem fully licensed.
If I update to Le 4.1.2 then it immediately gives me this error SYNSOACC.dll does not have the expected interface
If I uninstall again and after installing LE 4.0 I can patch to LE 4.1.3, it will run Lecensed.
However, I am not sure whether this has resolved the bugs dealt with in 4.1.2.
I have tried installing the latest SyncrosoftLicenseControlSetup_5.4.20.01002.exe, but that still has not resolved the problem.
Please can someone in the know provide some assistance.

The 4.1.3 hotfix requires version 4.1.2. If the installation of the hotfix succeeded you've had 4.1.2 installed. Obviously you've installed two Cubase LE versions, maybe one on your desktop and another one in the programs folder. I recommend to uninstall Cubase and the License Control Center properly. Search for possible remains on your system and delete them manually. Afterwards reinstall Cubase from DVD (make sure to install in the Programs folder), then install the hotfix. _________________ www.steinberg.net |
