Hi,

I've had nothing but problems with my CI2. I've tested it with a Dell Laptop and my desktop both generating the same problems. After running it with C5.1.1 for a few minutes, audio drops out then I get a pop-up message saying "ASIO Device Disconnected" and prompts me to choose another driver. And even if I choose another driver, it hard crashes Cubase which requires a power off to reboot. This happens on both laptop and desktop.

I'm using Cubase 5.1.1, driver 1.1.1 & XPSP3 x86 on both machines. I've completely reinstalled my desktop (P4 2.8, ASUS P5A2D-Premium) as a test with latest drivers and still receive the same issue. Even tried different USB ports with another cable.

I've tried different buffer settings (from 384 - 1024), 44k or 48K, no luck!

It runs a little longer on the laptop but eventually crashes and I may only have one audio track running.

I've ran out of ideas and was hoping someone from Steinberg can suggest something.

Thanks,

Mark

Hello Mark,

did you solve the problem? I have exactly the same behaviour. Interesting is, that it tends to happen during editing sessions, but I never had it while recording.

Regards,
Morten
