I installed Cubase AI5 with no issues, went through all the registration/activation etc etc. But when I put in the TOOLS for CI2 disc, I get an error message that says "The operating system is not adequate for running TOOLS for CI2". I'm using Windows Vista and it's pretty much a brand new computer (less than a year old). According to the requirements in the manual, my computer should be more than fine... yet I'm still getting this error message. I couldn't find any useful help on the site or these forums... does anyone have any idea what is going on? Please shower me with suggestions!

No shower for you it seems - not even a light drizzle! I can't help with this, but hopefully someone can. I also hope I don't get such a lack of response for my query on C12 older mac compatibility - are there any Steinberg experts reading these posts? surely....

I found a solution myself. For whatever reason, I wasn't able to use the disc that came with the CI2 to install TOOLS. But it worked when I downloaded it off the Cubase site. To anyone else who uses Vista and has this problem, I suggest you try this too.

You are correct. When install DVDs are printed, it is sometimes based on OS versions available at that time. Sometimes, shortly after, an OS has an update. So, it's always good to check www.steinberg.net for the latest updates. In this case, as you found out, you are to run the update with the DVD in the tray. Common for numerous solutions.

If I can be if any additional assistance, please let me know.
