GET THIS !
I insert my GA upgrade 3 disc into my Macbook Pro and it comes up with:
"Groove Agent 3 Update can't be installed on this computer.
ATTENTION:
The Syncrosoft l;icence Control cannot be installed on this computer because the installed operating system is too old.
At least version Mac OSX 10.3 (Panther) is required".
How weird is that ? I'm running 10.6 Snow Leopard !!
Yet more problems with Steinberg Software and no decent support !
Still trying to install The Grand 3 as well !!!!
Lets see how long itb takes to get this sorted out.

Hello. Yes I have the same problem. And yes, I've looked there and yes, I've followed all those instructions and still I have the error message that the Syncrosoft Licence Control cannot be installed becuase the Mac OS version is too old. and yes, I AM running Snow Leopard. So I can't install Groove Agent 3 at all.
Any ideas, please

Yes, its a pain in the butt ! I'm fed up with Steinberg inefficiency when it comes to installations. Can you believe it after all these years. I have used Steinberg (Pro 24 on an Atari) since 1989, have bought every Cubase upgrade along the way, bought Hypersonic, Phraze, Virtual Gtrs, Latigo etc. All these have become extinct...a complete waste of money. Even an old out of date synth still makes a sound ! Just to cap it all I still can't get The Grand or GA to work properly !!!!
As for the stupid 'dongle' I mean whats the bloody deal ? Adobe, one of the biggest software companies don't use dongles?
I'm a record producer, writer of film and TV music and anyone can check, I've been fairly successful at all this.
In a professional environment one cannot afford to lose a day or two trying to get a software instrument to load, trawling the forums, sending out pleading emails and getting severely frustrated. It doesn't help the artistic process at all.
I'm sorry but I am gonna tell everyone I know (a lotta people in music) to stay clear of Steinberg from now on.
In fact I am so pi*^ed off that I have done something I swore I would not ever do......I've ordered Logic !
