32bit installation of MR-extension on w7 64 Bit fails

hi,
i tried to install 32bit extension (V. 1.6) for MR816x on my w7 prof. 64bit. the reason why is, that the hardware-option for MR816x is not shown in the mixer view. I've read in this board that the installation of 32bit extension could solve this problem. But during the installation the message appears, that this version could not be installed for this os. Campatibility options didn't help.

Can somebody give a suggestion.
