Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm desperate (sorry chaps).
Had email re. offer to buy HALion Player and upgrade to HALion Sonic. REALLY EXCITED. Tried to buy online - page froze when I got to enter card details. Did this 3 times (yesterday). Gave up. Tried to do it today but shopping basket kept coming up as 'empty'. Phoned Ask.Net and was told that HALion player is out of stock. Phoned Steinberg but got a message telling me their office hours (my call was withIN those hours). Emailed Steinberg - no response.
Any suggestions, please.
HELP (he wailed piteously). |

| I got the same problem - don't really want HALion player but was seduced by an upgrade ticket for Sonic. HALion Player just does not get added to the cart on the asknet steinberg shop. It does say it's available so I queied this with asknet and they said I should allow cookies however I can add any other product to the cart so this is not the problem. I want my upgrade ticket - I think the intention was to advertise Sonic because it seems to me that you can't do what Steinberg suggest you do to get the upgrade ticket. VERY ANNOYED |

| Yes. I didn't make it clear - I too was only interested in the upgrade ticket. Quite frankly, I'd be happy to pay for HALion Player and not have it - just to get the upgrade ticket. |

Got through to Steinberg 'support' this morning. Explained the problem. The response boiled down to 'tough'.

OK. My only contact with Steinberg was a phone call to a guy who obvioulsy did not want to know - let alone help. Three emails have gone unanswered and a support form has also been ignored. I have NEVER been treated with such comtempt by any company, anywhere - and especially a company whom I have supported for well over 20 years.
Is there ANYONE from Steinberg who gives a damn? |

I'll take that as a 'no' then.
Amongst my many acquaintences I'm regarded as something of an oddity in that I have never used pirated software, clinging to the supposition that, as long as one is honest and supports a company's efforts, then that company will treat its customers decently. Wrong again then.
To recap, I was unable to advantage of a great offer because of Steinberg's (or their shop's) failure and they would not even bother to answer my questions about this.
I'm surprised that no-one, not even a mod, has seen fit to comment on this. It appears that Steinberg's 'customer service' no longer exists. |

| Update on this - The Steinberg shop guys said the problem with me buying this was because I didn't have cookies enabled on my browser, but when I explained that I could add anything else to the cart from their site they asked for the email that Steinberg had sent out. I got a reply later saying that the product was no longer available . I pointed out that it still says available on their site but they weren't bothered. Really angrey about this - I tried to buy it the day the email arrived ( within the hour in fact). What a load of rubbish. I want my Sonic discount. |

I actually did get a copy of HALion Player
However I did NOT get it in the Steinberg Online Shop
After explaining The Whole story in a Gear shop they told me they still had One Copy of HALion Player
so they sold it to me for the same Price as it currently was on the steinberg online shop
So you might want to try going to some shops that might still have A copy left and try the same thing as I did _________________ PC Related Hardware:

My case is even worse: I paid for HALion Player by bank and did not get it yet. No shipment, nothing.
Sent an e-mail to asknet, and they said it is indeed out of stock.
So, in short:
1/ I paid for it. WHERE IS MY PRODUCT?
2/ WHERE IS MY DISCOUNT for HALion Sonic? |

I think the Actual offer is the one for HALion Player witch allows you to get the HALion Sonic update cheaper
