Hi all

I'm still using wavelab 4 and it still does all I need it to do so I don't feel a need to go to the latest version. I just got a new Win 7 64 bit machine and wavelab 4 does not seem to want to install.

The version I have is as an update from wavelab 3 so the installation requires a wavelab 3 and wavelab 4 update cd. I have both cds but after the installation is complete it states that a valid wavelab cd is not detectable. At the time I have the wavelab 3 cd in one drive and the wavelab 4 update cd in the other as well the before the update cd runs it validates the install by checking to see the wavelab 3 disc, which it does with no problem.

Does anybody know if it is possible to install wavelab 4 in windows 7?

As far as I know only the latest update of Wavelab 6 will work with Windows 7, all previous versions will not.

It installs on Windows 7 64-bit and does basic things like trim/save/render, but it starts crashing when you try 'save as' and more advanced commands.

OK perhaps I will get the lite version of wavelab 6.

What is the big fuctionality that is missing. I really use it as a two track editor and cd burning program. I do use the cd text options too.

OK now there is a special on the upgrade to Wavelab 6.

I had a look at the specs and it does not state that Wavelab 6 works in Windows 7.

Does wavelab 7 work in Windows 7?

OK I can't figure out how to get this $199 update shipped to Canada. Canada did not appear on the dropdown list of countries that it ships to.

Anybody know how I can get it?

You'll have to buy Wavelab 6 in Canada, the Win 7 update for that is a free download, you will then qualify for the grace period upgrade to Wavelab 7 as this is supposed to be released very soon.
