I have wavelab 6 and 7 installed on a win7-64bit system
I also have wavelab 7 installed on a vista 64bit system
wavelab 6 on the win7-64 and wavelab 7 on the vista-64 are very fast and responsive.
wavelab 7 on the win7-64 system is much slower, the startup time is ok, but it takes about 20sec to
become responsive, when opening a plugin chain in the master section, they load quickly,
but it takes about 10 to 15 seconds before wavelab starts responding again once the plugs are loaded.
Overal wavelab 7 on my win7-64 system feels much slower...
Any ideas ?

For an exactly *same* plugin, the speed should be the same. Did you try various plugins? _________________ Philippe |

I have found things like render, meta normalize and save take much longer in wavelab 7 than in 6. Works fine but takes longer. _________________ Custom PC with Asus MB M3A78-CM, AMD Quad 4 940 3.1Ghz, 8 G ram, 4 HDs at 750 G each, win 7, Win Vista 64 home, and Win XP home, dual monitors, Cubase 5.5, Wavelab essentials 6, Soundforge 9, CD Archetect, Ozone 4, Melodyne Plugin, Autotune evo, AVOX, Addictive Drums, HSO, Outer Limits, Vocaloid Miriam, T-racks, Amplitube 3, liquid mix, Sampletank 2, Focusrite Saphire pro 40, IK multimedia ARC, Frontier Alphatrack, KRK monitors, Bigknob, Emu PK6, Microkorg, Aphex C2, DBX 166, Voicetone correct, voicetone double, voicetone create, Digitech RP500, POD, 100 miles of cables and a room full of guitars. |
