|

Greetings all -
I've had Cubase for over 10 years, and I can't believe I've never noticed this. I did search the forums, but did not see any related posts; apologies if I missed them.
I am trying to have the metronome turned on during precount, but off during recording. In the Options > Metronome... dialog box, I have "Precount" (top of the window) checked. Then, in the "Click during" section, I have "Precount" and "Playback" checked; "Record" is UNchecked. When I record this way, the metronome clicks during the precount as expected, but also continues to click during recording. The only way to achieve the desired result is to also uncheck "Playback". An acceptable enough workaround, yes, but just wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if this is a bug? This is observed using Cubase VST 5.1r1 on a PowerMac G4 tower, Mac OS 9.2.2.
(I have tried this using Cubase SL 3.1.1, and the metronome works as expected in that version, so perhaps I've answered my own question, but just checking here as well...)
Thanks for any responses,
