Hi there, wizards. I recently purchased and did the updates to Halion 3, including the library update. (From ver 3.0.0.450 to 3.3.1.456). All went well, save for the fact that when calling up Halion 3 in Cubase sl3 I get a message - optimization library not found.please re-install plug-in-. I can click past that and continue on my merry way. Wondering why i get this now and what it pertains to, as it has not appeared before the updates. Question Very Happy

If you look in Program files_Steinberg_VST plugins_Halion 3 do you see a file 'convif.opt' ?

Hi Alex D thanks for reply. No, it's not in the vst plugins folder under cubase sl3. I don't have a "direct" folder for halion 3 under the vst plugins heading. I loaded halion under it's own file folder in program files and copied the .dll and .srf files from there into the sl3 vst plugins folder. I'm thinking by your question I should also move the convif.opt file there also? I did move the file you mentioned and all is well. thank you very much for the assistance, your time and knowledgs is appreciated. Very Happy

Thanks Alex D for your input.

I had the same problem and had re-installed the plugin several times.
The installation puts convif.opt inder <install>/Cubase5.
After I copied confif.copt to <install>/Cubase5/VSTPlugins the error dissappeared.

But now I'm getting Optimization library not found. IK saw from a previous thread that i should copy the convif.opt to the plugins folder, which i did, but still get the error
