Can i use and record the 8 analog ins + the adat ins (4 stereo tracks) + use the spdif in/outs at the same time?
That will be 17 inputs.
Will that work?
I own a Echo layla...and on this device i have to switch either to adat mode OR spdif mode.
Will the MR816 X be able to use it all together parallel simoustanly?

Nope, either 6 adats and spdif or 8 adats.
