Hello
I’m having some problems recording with cubase 5. I’m using a T.BONE MICPLUG USB from thomann witch is kind of an USB external board.
When I use this “T.bone” with cubase 5 it has a latency of 325ms whit makes very difficult to record anything with a backup instrument.
I try this “t bone” with the windows sound check and it works fine. Almost no latency
In cubase when a select “ASIO DirectX full duplex driver” in the VST audio system in the device setup the input latency is 325ms and the output latency is 46ms. When I select “generic low latency audio driver” I get a input and output latency of 20ms but I can’t select the “t bone” microphone on the “control panel”. The option is not there. Only my computer’s internal microphone is available. The direct monitoring check box is also not available to select.
The t bone I’m using is this one http://www.thomann.de/pt/the_tbone_micplug_usb.htm
Is there some kind of driver other then de “VST audio system” that I can use?
If I buy another kind of analog/digital converter will it work better?

Try Asio4all, works in most cases.

Well, as usual

- download
- install
- select in Cubase
- configure

It comes with a nice description how to set it up, in most cases everything's fine from the beginning.

You can't do anything wrong with it.
