|
|
Just bought the update to 'Autotune 7' and installed it. Everything seemed fine until I try to access it in Wavelab. Now, my iLok is not recognised and I've tried to reinstall the iLOK software but it states I'm all up to date.
Now, in Wavelab, all of my iLOK protected software doesn't show up!
So, I suppose I'm going to have to run back and forwards between Antares and iLOK to see what is to blame.
Incidentally, the light still illuminates on my iLOK to suggest there is some life left in it.

Just to update in case anyone else gets trapped with this issue. I received this response from iLOK.
'The Auto-Tune 7 software does require a newer version of the iLok driver than the one currently on the iLok.com website. The version it requires is included in Antares' Auto-Tune 7 installer. Please contact Antares for assistance with their installer. It sounds like something happened with that install and now you are left with no valid iLok driver.
In the meantime, you may be able to step back your drivers so that your other iLok protected software can work by uninstalling Auto-Tune 7 and then downloading and installing the drivers from the iLok.com website's Download page. I say "may" because the issue occurred with the Antares installer, so they would be the only ones able to tell you the definite solution. I think it is worth a try if you need access to your other plugins in the mean time before you hear back from Antares.'
So, it would seem Antares have used a version of iLOK protection that is not available from iLOK themselves! How on earth am I supposed to make it work?
Well, I uninstalled all of the iLOK / PACE protection software and then reinstalled it. All my iLOK programs work again except, of course, 'Autotune 7'.
So, as a test, I ran the Autotune 7 install again and exactly the same problem occured.
This would mean that everyone should defer from buying AT7 until the issue is resolved.
I'll contact Antares and see what they say seeing as iLOK are saying it's their problem!

I had a similar issue. I corrected the iLok getting blown away by the Auto-Tune 7 install, by removing the iLok hardware driver (in the Windows Device Manager dialog box), then re-installing with the latest iLock drivers. Don't know if this is similar to what you are experiencing. But this corrected all iLock issues for me, after the Auto-Tune 7 install. BTW, all worked fine on the Mac with the iLok -- only Windows was negatively impacted.

Hi,
I tried your suggestion but to no avail. Antares are looking into it for me; However, I've not heard back for a few days.
I'll keep you posted.

I am still waiting for a proper response from Antares. Despite continually emailing them, I have only had one reply saying they were looking into it!
I have been an Autotune user / purchaser since its earliest version and yet I am ignored.
I have updated Melodyne to the latest iLOK protected version without problem and tonight I installed another iLOK program (Digital Slate) without a problem.
So, my advice is DO NOT buy any Antares products until they sort out the problem of running an 'unofficial' iLOK version of PACE. PACE informed me Antares are running an unapproved version of their protection. _________________ Warrington Website Design |

I have the answer for you , do the following and it will work
On a PC , I don't have a Mac
Go to C Drive
Documents and Settings
User - ( probably your name )
Application Data - (probably greyed out - but will open )
Cubase 5 or whatever version you have
Look for a file called Vs2 Blacklist
Delete this file
Restart Cubase and Autotune will work , I promise
( here is the reason - when you installed the latest I-lok , there were issues , right , it was a headache , and cubase saw autotune as a threat because it was linked to the problems with I-lok and blacklisted it , so by removing the blacklist it will boot up , the black list will come back but by this time you will have re-booted and it will know that auto tune is safe , because you didn't remove it )
Let me know how it goes |

Searched high and low for the file you mentioned but it's n ot on my system (laptop). I don't use my laptop to run Wavelab /Cubase - I just use it to authorize iLOK.
To update: despite emailing every single day about this issue for weeks, Antares IGNORE my emails and don't respond. I have bought every upgrade for years and this is how they treat customers. UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ Warrington Website Design |

Hi,
Yes - did that already - still no good.
I use my laptop (that has Wavelab 7 installed) to validate iLOK / PACE and Steinberg dongle stuff. Then move over to my music PC with all my software on it; Steinberg / Celemony etc as I prefer to keep the internet's viruses from that machine.
It's more the fact that Antares just don't repsond to the problem that is so annoying. Aprt from an intial response weeks ago saying they are looking into it and subsequently requesting some files from my system, I've heard nothing despite emailing every day. Still, I've only beeen buying the AutoTune update as soon as it's released for around 10 years now !!!!
