|

Hey Everyone,
I have a Juno Stage and all my cubase projects have the keyboard set to play on channel 9.
With all other projects (223 in all), this is the only one, that when I go play the keys, the Juno will play the patch of the strat guitar in the first channel.
Why?
I have been looking at this thing for five hours.
I have exported the midi file and opened it in another midi program to see if there was some kind of hidden systems exclusive, but I can not find anything.
I imported the midi file and created another project, but still no luck.
What is wrong with this?
Thanks in advance
Here's a link to the file -- http://www.kronusproductions.com/uploads/work/honey_pie_correction.cpr.zip |

OK, I figured it out by comparing another project "Hey Jude" to this Beatle's song.
I noticed in my hey_jude.cpr that I did not have an electric guitar, so I moved the electric guitar which was in channel 1 to channel 16, but it didn't work at first.
So, I rebooted my Juno, started hey_jude.cpr, which worked fine, then opened "honey_pie_correction.cpr" and it worked fine.
Before you say that the issue was to reboot my Juno, I had tried that several times in the course of five hours yesterday.
I guess this is the only project that I have which had the electric guitar on channel 1, but why should that matter?
I have my bass always in channel 2, but that never interferes with anything.
I know that rhythm is always supposed to be on channel 10. Are there any rules for electric guitar having precedence over piano?
Are there any rules for electric guitar on channel 1 will override piano being on channel 9?
If there are then let me know, so that I can plan accordingly.
I would hate to be performing in front of an audience and suddenly I am unable to produce the sounds that I would like to have them hear.
I do not want this to sound like I am complaining, I just want to understand why this happened?
Thanks in advance |
