Hi

I am currently using a Tascam US-144 USB audio card with Windows 7 x64 but I am having a few problems with clicks and general noise, can even hear a noise when I move the mouse around the screen. I am using the latest driver but it still doesn't help, I have also tweaked my computer for audio recording - as I only use it as a DAW.

Although my US-144 worked fine with XP I think its now time to replace it with a Win 7 friendly device. I need a sound card with preferably two sets of analogue in and out, and a midi interface for my midi keyboard to record into Cubase.

Can anyone recommend a suitable card please.

Glen

Tascam Europe has a more up-to-date Windows x64 driver than the Tascam USA site ;

http://www.tascam.de/en/downloads/archive/US-144 lists a V2.02 ,new in August
whereas
http://tascam.com/product/us-144/downloads/ shows V2.01 as the latest .

The US-144 works fine here on Win 7 x64 with the v2.02 driver and the v1.12 firmware update .

Just downloaded the 2.02 driver and it appears to be OK.

I was using a 2.02 beta driver that fixed the latency problem but it still seemed noisy, this release version is good so far.
