With apologies to Cubase, no Cubase or VSTs in this piece as I seem to be using Record and Reson more and more these days, but one day, I am sure Zebra and Alchemy will rein me back in. lol
I just re-posted my latest piece " Of Clouds and Light" on Soundcloud after not being happy with one sound in particular that was central to the piece, and it took me ages to sort out what to do to get it to both be more at the forefront while not taking over in the frequency spectrum. If you are interested in what sound it is, it starts at about :15 and is a pulsing type thing that has a huge number of things modulating and processing it, but they are not the type of things that hit you in the face and quite subtle. There's electric guitar going through my Pod Live X-3, and a couple of EX-5 synth sounds. All of the rest of it is Reason going into Record, as is the piece after that. Lots of cool synth sounds too if you are into them, which is the reason most of us are here anyway, right? My one concession to the acoustic world is use of stand-up bass. No drums as rhythms are generated through clocked LFOs. Hope you enjoy and feel free to post some comments here or there.
