Can you monitor/record thru VST plugins in WL7

In Wavelab 6 I know there was a way to monitor & record through a VST plugin, such as a 2-buss compressor, as long as you were using an ASIO card. Is it possible in WL7 because just trying the demo, I can't see how.

Yes, use the the plugin called "ASIO Audio Input".

Ok great but it's still not working. The input signal is not going through the audio input, the subsequent plugin nor any part of the master section ....

Hi,

Have you set up ASIO plug-ins in Audio Streaming Settings... dialog
and not using the same audio channels as in In/Out for Playback/Record ?

exampel
Playback/Record
IN 1&2
Out 1&2

ASIO Plug-ins
Device Output (to gear) 3&4 ((other channels then above))
Device Input (from gear) 3&4 ((other channels then above))

then use Playback button in Transport for Monitoring ASIO Input

So you need more than 2 channels ?? In WL6 you could do this with a stereo card.

In WL6 it works. But not in WL7

No problem here. Of course, you must use an ASIO driver.
What exactly happens in your case?

I don't remember if you should set same Input channels or not
as for "Recording" !? even check buffert/latency for Audio device

then create a Audio File or Transport/Play doesn't work for Monitoring Input
then press Recording button (press Monitor if needed in recording dialog here)
