Since the manual for WL 7 is a joke I had a look at the WL6 manual. This tells me that I can set the mousing areas in a Montage Waveform myself. I cannot find a way to do this in WL7.

I want to disable certain mousing functions if possible, because I never need them and I keep doing wrong things in the Montage, instead of what I want to do.

Can someone point me into the right direction?

Johannes

It is not possible to disable mouse functions in WaveLab 7.
Watch the info line at the bottom of the window, to learn about the various possibilities according to where lies the mouse.

Hi,

Where does it do this, set mousing areas in WL6 compare to WL7 !?

You mean mouse areas should be user define able !?

In WaveLab 6 this was possible. This option has been removed because it caused more confusion than interest.

That's sad news, I was hoping to streamline Wavelab for my needs. Currently I keep getting slowed down by
- the effects tab suddenly opening
- a little yellow box appearing which also wants me to add effects.

I don't want effects on clips. Can they be completely disabled somehow?

If you close the effect tool window and don't try to create an effect via a menu entry, the effect window will not open by itself.

Well, it seems to do just that all the time here. Perhaps a Mac problem?
