1 Where in Manual?

2 Using a Presonus 1394 Inspire.

Was able to record in stereo on one track, but want guitar on one and vocals on other.

TIA

Best,

Larry

Set up 2 individual MONO tracks and do your thing! DEVICES>DEVICE SETUP>MULTITRACK. DEVICE>DEVICE SETUP>VST INPUTS. Select the tracks you want to record on and set them up! Manual is in PDF form. Go to the top of your program and select "HELP"! Go to RECORDING IN CUBASE. If you can READ you can figure it out! Wink
Thanks,
ROD J.

Rod;

Thanks for for your gracious answer.

Read through both manuals last night, 187 and 576 pages, first, but was unable to distinguish this point, hence I came to this site.

Hope you get your humongous chip off of your shoulder,

All the very best,

Larry

In Cubase (top of page) DEVICE>DEVICE SETUP>MULTITRACK>ALESIS ASIO DRIVER.
check this first.

Make sure you don,t have the Tracks setup for STEREO recording. Could be a signal routing problem. Don't use that little orange double circle oo that is shown in each TRACK. S/B INPUT 1 ON TRACK 1, INPUT 2 on TRACK2 at the top of the TRACK MIXER. Click on the red record and the orange monitor buttons for each track you wish to record.Make sure your markers <-----> are set to the region you wish to record in. Hit the red record button on your transport and away you go! Let me know if you need anymore assistance. Very Happy
Thanks,
ROD J.

okay, i checked it out..and it doesnt show Alesis driver. It just shows multimedia, direct x and US-224 16 bit and US-224 24bit...the 224 is my old tascam that i havnt uninstalled yet. I'm wondering...perhaps I need to update the drivers for my Alesis?...i know all the workings of it..just this track routing thing is a little different from other programs. i've used protools, nuendo, logic and all of those have a slightly different way to route signal. i appreciate your help:)
