VG2 forgets current state (SX3)

When I use a VST, I rarely bother to save my patches explicitly - I just save my Cubase SX3 project and the current state of the VST gets saved with it.

Except this doesn't happen with Virtual Guitarist 2!

When I load an SX3 project, VG2 seems to remember what style it is supposed to load (the style name appears in the "frame" for the VST window). But it doesn't actually load it. Of course, it also doesn't apply any tweaks I made to that style, to the effects, etc.

It seems that the only way I can get VG2 to recall the desired state is to explicitly save both the style and the effects before I save my song, and then to manually load both the style and the effects after reloading my song.

Is this normal? If not, what can I do to make VG2 / SX3 remember the correct state of the VST?
