sonar5 & grooveagent2

firstly, i apologise if am not to ask such questions here:P but am ze newbie here.

,=my problem is that i dont know how to make sonar5 and grooveagent2 work together..
sonar5 initially detects grooveagent and its fine.but i cant go into preferences of grooveagent as long as it
works in rewire slave mode. i receive the following message:

"settings not available in rewire slave mode! Please select audio/midi ports in your host application"

anyone knows the steps so that i can have access in preferences? its vital cause i want to change the meter and i cant.
