I have the new Virtual Guitarist 2, and I'm trying to use it with Sonar 6, the Producer's Edition.
I can get it working, but only briefly. It crashes, usually within 10 minutes of starting use. Sonar returns an error saying that is has encountered a problem and must close.
I'm runnint this on a Hewlett Packard PC, with an Athlon 64 processor, 2 Gig of ram, a Soundblaster Audigy 4 card, and running Windows XP, the home edition.
I had no problem running the old virtual guitar versions. I have both the first Virtual Guitar, and Virtual Guitar the Electric Edition. I could run multiple instances of those programs without any issues.
I have an external WD USB hard drive, one of the My Book drives. When I installed VG 2 I put the program on the C drive and the samples on the USB drive, (K).
When I installed VG 2 I had the boxes checked to install the DXI version, the vST version, and the Rewire version. I don't see VG 2 showing up under my vST plugin's tab in Sonar. I presume this means I'm running the DXI version. I have tried re-scanning the vST plugins in Sonar, and I get an error and Sonar closes itself.
Do you have a recommendation on which version to run in Sonar?
Also, am I the only jerk on the planet having this sort of problem?
THanks, everyone.
By the way, I do have a USB key. Where is the number on the USB key you need?

Wow. Guess I've learned how useful this forum is .
Not much activity, and no one has any help to offer.
